Happy Easter!

We had a fun and eventful Easter this year.  We took Kyia to do an Easter egg hunt at the zoo.  There were a ton of people there so we were coaching Kyia before the hunt started to get as many eggs as she could and to do it fast.  The more eggs she got, the more candy she would get.  When they said go, Mike took her to all the eggs and she froze with all the people.  She finally started picking up eggs but by this time they were almost all gone.  Mike was encouraging her to go faster and it wasn't until the egg hunt was done that we realized there was no candy or anything in any of the eggs.  It didn't matter if you picked up one egg or 50 eggs, everyone got the same goody bag at the end.  Once Kyia got the hang of it, she did have fun and was excited with how many eggs she got at the end.

        

After the Zoo, we went home to dye Easter eggs.  We had a kit to make glitter eggs this year and Kyia loved shaking the egg in the glitter.  

   

   

Sunday morning she woke up and had to find her Easter basket and eggs that the Easter bunny hid.  She was so excited about this but was most excited about all the candy he gave her.  Overall, we had a fun weekend.
