The past 4 weeks without Mike here have seemed very long. Kyia has had an especially hard time with it. Last week we told her she had to go to church one more time before Daddy came home. Well, the second we got out of church, she said "OK let's go get daddy now". I tried to explain that he wouldn't be home for a few more days but she didn't quite understand. It was so sad. She kept saying, (through big crocodile tears) "You said only 1 more time at church". I decided to try a different route and make a countdown for her of the last few days. She gets so excited to pull a chain off every night and can't wait until her Daddy comes home. Only 1 more day!

Wouldn't it make life a lot easier if kids only understood the concept of time?! Martin has a job where he's gone for 2 weeks at a time and my girls ask me when he's coming back about a hundered times every time he goes!:) And it seems like I'm always trying to get one of my kids to sleep through the night or in their room again. It seems like there's always something going on with at least one of them!! That's great that Kyia was so good about sleeping in her own room again and I'll bet you're sleeping better now too!!
